FLSA Classification: Non-exempt; hourly

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour

Spanish Bilingual differential: $0.75 per hour (as eligible)

Position Type: Contract; Full-time; 40 hours per work week May 23^rd, 2024, through August 13^th, 2024

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8:00a-4:30p with the ability to flex hours to accommodate business needs.

Location: Main Administration - 5706 Wright Dr. Loveland, CO 80538 primarily, but deliver food within Larimer County.

Remote Eligibility: This position is not eligible to work from home.

DRIVING, COMMUNITY MEAL SERVICE, AND ENGAGEMENT (70%)

• Operate our organizational delivery van, ensuring timely communication with the Kitchen Manager regarding route changes or issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory of supplies both on the vehicle and at partner service sites.
• Assist with loading and unloading food, supplies, and equipment, supporting team members as needed.
• Engage with the public to educate community members and volunteers on Kids Cafe programs and FBLC's mission, fostering positive relationships.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicles in adherence to food safety standards.

KITCHEN SUPPORT (25%)

• Assist with food preparation for sites ensuring quality and quantity.
• Support the coordination of volunteers, fostering teamwork and maximizing impact.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes, assisting with inventory management, and keeping work and storage areas clean and organized to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Conduct random audits to minimize waste and promote cost-effective practices, ensuring food meets standards.

GENERAL (5%)

• Maintain adherence to FBLC safety, OSHA, and food safety standards, prioritizing safety for oneself and others, including when operating company equipment or vehicles.
• When representing the organization in local, state, and regional collaborations, take care to embody organizational values.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working as a delivery driver preferred.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of all pre-screening requirements.
• 21+ years of age and possession of a valid U.S. Driver's License with a good driving record, as confirmed through an MVR check.

LANGUAGE SKILLS & ABILITY: Proficiency in English required, bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct reports but may support the coordination of volunteers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily works outdoors, in and around vehicles, and has frequent exposure to public and private, non-FBLC warehouse environments, such as school sites.
